On Friday the 26th the Kingsburg Cub Scouts Pack 392 celebrated the annual "Blue and Gold" Banquet. The banquet celebrates cub scouts birthday and this year it is 80 years old. Boy scouts is 100 years old! We get together and eat a pot luck dinner, sing songs, perform skits and of course eat birthday cake. This year was an extra special year for us because Taylor bridged over to Boy Scouts. We also handed out awards and Taylor earned his "Arrow of Light", Thomas earned his "Wolf" and Matthew earned his "Tiger."
Our three boys dressed in their uniforms, so handsome.

Taylor earned a special award that night called "The Arrow of Light." It took him almost 2 years of hard work and fun to earn this award. It is the only award you earn in cub Scouts that you are able to wear on your Boy scout uniform. Oran and I bought him a special plaque to honor that achievement.

After the "Arrow of Light" ceremony Taylor Bridged to Boy Scouts. It was A very moving ceremony. I had to walk Taylor to the end of the bridge and take of his Cub Scout hat and neckerchief, than the scout master ask Taylor if he was ready to bridge over to Boy Scouts and he said yes. He walked over the bridge and they put on the boy scout hat and neckerchief and he was asked to recite the boy scout oath were he promised to be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. We are all so proud of you three boys you all did great.
