Christmas 2009

On Christmas Eve we went over to my moms house and had a great time we even let the kids open up some presents.

The boys were actually full and were just relaxing

Every Christmas Eve my mom reads the "Cajun Night Before Christmas" were Santa is pulled by alligators and not reindeer's.

The pies I made, chocolate cream, pecan and Great grandma's dump cake YUMMY!

This plate for cookies and milk for Santa was given to me by my Mom and Jim, it is Fiesta, they bought it from the factory itself in West Virginia.

Yummy chocolate chip cookies for Santa, now who would leave coal for these kids, I am so lucky to have them in my life.

Santa was so hungry that he left a mess, the kids thought that was so funny!

This is what Santa left for the kids.

They were so excited to see what Santa had left for them.

The boys opening up presents from Santa.

Emily and Jason opening up their gifts.

Mikayla and Mamaw playing with her new doll house.

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Whittier

On Saturday we spent the day with "Whittier" family as the kids call them. We first went to Oran's Uncle Omar's house for lunch. The whole Medina side came. Oran's parents, all of his Uncles' their families including his cousin and new wife, who are expecting twins soon, so excited for them both, and his grandfather. The only people missing was his sister Blair and her husband Mike but we get to see them in January. For dinner we went to Oran's older brother Sean's house for dinner.
after the long day the kids were so tired.

Oran's Brother Sean, his wife Leiann and their beautiful daughter Sierra. We got to spend an evening with them eating pizza and hanging out. The kids love their house, they have chickens, lots of dogs and a snake. I love spending time with them.

The kids love their cousin Sierra (and Ashly but she had to work)

The kids had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma. They mad plans for next week when the boys are going to spend a few days visiting them without Mom and Dad.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend, see you all soon.

DISNEYLAND 2009

Every Christmas we go to Disneyland. It is my favorite time of year. My mom always took my sister and I when we were kids so I am happy to continue the tradition. My Mom, Jim and the Medina's took over Disneyland On the 18th. (My sister could not go she had to work.) We had a great day it is so much fun to watch the kids experience all the fun I did when I was a child. The family with Santa. When Santa ask Mikayla what her name was she said "Sissy" and he said "that's funny that's my sister's name too!"
Mikaya calls this castle "her" castle, in fact she saw another little girl sitting near the castle and yelled "Mommy that little girl is sitting on my castle!!" she was so mad but it was funny.

The first thing we did was to get in line for the Princess'. Oran took the boys to Toon Town and Mamaw, Papaw and I waited with Mikayla who was all dressed up as a princess (the dress lasted about half the day) She was so excited.

My favorite picture, Mikayla with her favorite princess Sleeping Beauty. She literally ran to her she was so excited.

After we saw the Princess' Mikayla picked out a doll she wanted.

We were so happy Mamaw and Papaw could spend the day with us.

after we saw Santa the kids got on the sleigh

The kids love to climb up the tree house.

Mikayla saving seats for the parade.

Thomas did not feel good about half way through the day, so we just sat and waited for the parade, he felt better later.

Papaw, Taylor, Matthew and Mikayla watching the parade.

So we were going to ride the cars and some how Thomas got picked to drive. Taylor pushed the pedals and I just sat and "enjoyed" the ride. Except like I said Thomas was driving and I promised myself that If I made it out alive Thomas would NEVER get his license!!!

Oran with Mikayla and Matthew, lucky!!

as we were leaving they lit up the castle, it was a perfect way to end the day.

Week of fun!

The last week before school gets out for winter break is always crazy. This year was no different it started on Monday when we headed to Taylor's award ceremony. Taylor got the Principals honor role because he has a 3.85 grade point average.

After Taylor's Awards assembly we headed over to Matthew's Christmas pageant.

This is Matthew introducing the song "I'm gettin nuttin' for Christmas" all by himself. He sounded great.

After his performance we took this picture with Mamaw and Papaw.

On Wednesday Mikayla and I went to Matthew's Christmas party in his 1st grade class. He shared some sweets with his sissy.

Matthew with his teacher Mrs.Martinez

Matthew, Mikayla and I had a great time at his party.

Then on Thursday we went Emily's Christmas performance, this is Jason waiting for it to start.

She knows she is cute!!!
