The tree is not complete until Oran puts the star on top. This is the same star Oran and I bought for our first tree 11 years ago.
Mikayla had so much fun putting the ornaments on the tree and than taking them off and putting them on again.

O' Christmas Tree
Christmas is my favorite time of year. I remember when I was a kid and on Thanksgiving afternoon we would start to decorate and I mean start, my mom would have a tree in almost every room, each tree with a different theme. Oran and I only have the one tree (fake because of Thomas, asthma) but decorated with ornaments mom gave us when we were married and some the kids have made. To be honest we have so many ornaments in the garage that when the kids move out they will be all ready for their own trees!
This Thanksgiving we celebrated a little different, the Saturday before we went to moms to have a early Thanksgiving since my sister had to work on Thursday. I usually cook the meal but I was in a small car accident earlier in the week and hurt my shoulder. I was unable to cook but my mom and sister did a great job. So on the real Thanksgiving I was feeling better so we decorated for Christmas and had a lasagna for dinner, OK so it was not traditional, but is was great.
Taylor was hanging an ornament he made in Kindergarten, one of my favorites.

Rain gutter Regatta
held their annual rain gutter regatta. For those of you who have no idea what I am taking about I will go over the basics. First the boys have a boat kit that they put together and paint. They race each other on two rain gutters that have been turned upside down and put on a stand filled with water. The boys can not use their hands and must blow into the sail to move their boat down the rain gutter. Above is a picture of the boy's hard work all lined up and ready to race.

Cub Scout meetings
This weekend was a busy wekend for scouts, First Thomas and his fellow wolfs had a tour of the police station, Taylor had a Webelos meeting right after, and on Saturday Matthew and his Tigers went to the fire station for a tour.
The Wolfs all lined up and ready for the tour
They locked the boys in the cage, they loved it. (if you look real close to the bottom left of the picture you can see Mikayla with a big smile on her face HAHA!!)

Thomas
Matthew locked in the cage as well.
After we left the wolf den meeting we headed to Taylor's Webelos meeting and the boys were learning abouts cars. Taylor was learning to change a tire.
