EASTER 2010

We celebrated Easter in Whittier with Oran's parents. We spent the day as a family riding bikes, drawing, hunting eggs and of course a family dinner.... oh and a earthquake! Not to worry we are all fine and finished our dinner as if nothing happened
The fun began on Saturday when the kids decorated Easter eggs.

Tourist?

On Saturday, we decided to visit L.A. to see some typical tourist sights, because in 2 months we will no longer just visiting. We visited the Farmers Market and saw some good looking food. We drove thru Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo drive and Santa Monica.

The ice cream was a hit. Funny story.......Mikayla was eating her strawberry ice cream when she got to the cone she had no real interest in it and still wanted ice cream so she took a bite out of the side and sucked the rest of the ice cream out! It was so funny!

After driving around for awhile we stopped for lunch at Carneys. We got to eat inside a train car. It was yummy!

I can not even remember the last times I saw most of these sights but I guess the next time I do my family and I will be full fledged Southern Californians!..............again

Bike Ride

Oran had Wednesday off because of Cesar Chavez day. (working for the state has some perks!) So that morning we decided to take the kids for a bike ride. Whittier has new bike and walking trails that were once railroad tracks. The boys are real troopers and love long rides. When we camp in our motor home, our bikes are our only mode of transportation, so they are used to it.

I guess seeing 2 adults (one pulling a bike trailer) and 3 kids on bikes is a sight to see because we always get comments like "Wow, you have quite a crew" or "you guys are your own parade" but my personal favorite is "they are ALL yours?" LOL What do you say to that? We are just a family who enjoys each other..............most of the time!
