Matthew's Birthday

Matthew celebrated his 6Th birthday with "doughnuts for dad " in the morning, singing Halloween songs at a local retirement home, cupcakes at school, dinner and bowling. Here are some pictures of the special day................... Matthew really enjoyed his day especially when I brought cupcakes to his class.

So, that night we went out to dinner to IHop, and than went bowling. The kids did great but it was my sister who won.

The Fresno fair

On Sunday Oran and I took the kids to the fair. My mom, Jim and Sister Nicole went as well. We really enjoyed all the fun exhibits and free stuff for the kids.
Taylor This year is the boy scouts 100 year anniversary. They had a booth set up at the fair featuring a rope climb. The boys loved it.

The kids were able to try to catch some catfish. This was the last day of the fair so I think the fish were pretty smart the kids did not catch anything. Oh well they loved it.

Cub Scout campout

On Friday October 2, the cub scouts and their families had a camp out. It was at the Kingsburg Historical park. The park is a museum with old homes, barns and tractors. A perfect setting to BBQ, play games, and have a camp fire. We even had an extra special treat the high school was having their homecoming football game. (the school is next to the park) Every time they scored a touchdown they shot off fireworks so Kingsburg won the game 65 to 13 so needless to say we had a great show.

The kids played lots of games like the three legged race, soccer, football, tug of war and "chase"

One of the games they played was tug of war

One of the den leaders, Mandie, ask her family to join us for a sing along. They played and we all sang around the camp fire.

Even the cold did not stop us from a good time, what a great way to start the year and meet all the new cub scouts.
